Looking for a frozen cocktail recipe to beat the heat? You’ve come to the right place!

You can use frozen fruit in your cocktail recipe for super-chilled results.

When it’s so hot outside that you’re tempted to swallow the Freon from your air conditioner, make a life-saving decision and chill out with one of our frozen cocktail recipes instead. We have tips on how to make perfect frozen cocktails every time. One important tip we want to share: the order you blend your frozen cocktails in really does matter. You’ll be placing unnecessary wear and tear on your blender’s motor and blades if you put heavy, large objects in first. Start with liquids, then softer items, then heavy and dense foods on top. For really heavy items, try chopping them coarsely before adding them to the blender.

If you’re looking for the perfect summer cocktail, frozen margarita recipes are a warm-weather classic. If you’re more inclined towards sweet than sour, however, you may want to check out our frozen daiquiri cocktail recipes.

We love a frozen cocktail recipe here at The Daily Meal, and we’ve put together bunches of perfect frozen cocktail recipes for you to choose from.

Frozen Daiquiri Recipes

There are different flavors and types of daiquiris. While the classic daiquiri is a simple lime and rum sour on the rocks, many enjoy a more modern twist on the traditional - the frozen, blended daiquiri. These delicious blended cocktails are a favorite in the summer months when the temperatures soar.

Step back, neon-green appletinis &mdash Geoffrey&rsquos got a fresher twist on this cocktail. The natural sweetness of apple cider perfectly complements applejack brandy, and topping the cocktail with an apple slice adds a fruity finish.

The heat may be on, but you can chill out with the mint and ice of the Mint Julep at your next barbecue. It’s the big freeze made for large gatherings, originally served at the Kentucky Derby in the US. Enjoy with your favourite guests for the perfect photo finish.

Then when you have a garden party on the go, shake up a Strawberry Daiquiri – the popular variation on the classic Daiquiri. Use some of those strawberries destined for the cream, along with rum, lime juice and sugar for the British summer in freeze frame.

Or give your house party a South American flavour with the Caiprioska. This vodka twist on the Caipirinha has lime and sugar muddled together, and is then topped with crushed ice. You can add in Latin music sounds and serve up a Mojito to make a beach party of it. This classic long drink is frozen in time as well as in the glass, still made as it was for Ernest Hemingway at La Bodeguita bar back in 1950s Havana.

Finally you might want a picnic with no fuss, but enough frozen drinks to go round, so grab some Smirnoff Frozen Pouches or Parrot Bay Frozen Pouches for easy, squeezy, freezy cocktails.

Dirty Mojito Slushy

Think of key limes as the ubiquitous citrus' aromatic and more flavorful sister. That's exactly why they're blended into this minty mojito and coupled with earthy dark rum to create a slushie that's sure to please—and get you tipsy.

Frozen Cocktail Recipes That Are Good For You

I think I found my dietitian mission: to create a healthy, great-tasting frozen cocktail without all the unnecessary artificial colors, flavors and sugar.  It’s a tough job but someone has to do it…

Summertime is the perfect time to enjoy blueberries, strawberries, peaches and mangos, but sometimes you just can’t finish what you bought at the store or farmer’s market.  For years, I’ve been freezing my leftover fresh fruit to use in yogurt smoothies, but until recently, I never tried using frozen fruit in my cocktails and I am so glad I did.

To freeze your own fruit, make sure to wash thoroughly and then pat dry the excess water with a paper towel.  If it has a peel like peaches, remove the skin and slice into wedges.  Lay on a flat surface for about an hour then put into a tightly sealed Ziploc bag and save in your freezer until you are ready to use.

When my favorite fresh fruit is out of stock or out of season, I run over to the frozen food aisle.  Frozen fruit is packed at the peak of freshness and retains more nutrients than many of those fruits sitting around the fresh fruit aisle.

  • 1 lime wedge
  • Rimming salt
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  1. Rub the lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass.
  2. Put the salt in a shallow dish. Dip the rim of the glass in the salt to rim it.
  3. Add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to the blender.
  4. Cover and blend the ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour into the prepared margarita glasses.
