Recipe Courtesy of Rojo’sTaco salads are often served in a fried-tortilla fashioned into a bowl, which really distorts their nutritional information. In their purest form, however, taco salads are nothing more than seasoned meat, lettuce, black beans, and cheese. This recipe is a perfect example of how a taco salad should be made.

After a long day at school or work, nothing beats a cool and refreshing summer roll to take the edge off. And why order some from your local Asian restaurant when you can make them at home?I've paired a slightly spicy ground beef mixture with greens and a curried mayonnaise for layers of flavor, but once you have the wrapping technique down, the fun part of making these is experimenting. Sausage Rolls
True to my word, this is a list of picnic hamper staples. And, my god, are sausage rolls important for a picnic. For the most reliable recipe, I turn to the institution that is the BBC for their mini sausage rolls. They are cute, bite-sized morsels that are perfect for packing into a picnic hamper. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could play around with the recipe, perhaps adding in some spicy nduja? Or if meat’s not your thing, then try swapping the sausage for your favourite veggie option.
Despite the fact that they aren't the best foods to leave sitting out in the heat, pasta salad and egg salad are classic summer recipes. Spice things up by adding curry to your egg salad, and enjoy it tucked into a pita pocket with some fresh greens.

Our son asked, are you going to go to your favorite restaurant, mom?
I said, no way. It’s way more authentic in our home, easy, less-expensive, and … I love this plaque.
People feel more inclined to sit back, relax, and …stay awhile when we make a home-cooked meal.
